Kathryn Siebke
Kate Siebke specializes in international commercial arbitration, with a focus on energy and construction disputes. She is an American lawyer based in Italy since 2007, during which she has acted as counsel in over 30 international arbitrations under the main institutional arbitration rules, governed by various procedural and substantive laws. Her approach to litigation includes the application of other forms of ADR, including mediation and settlement negotiation. Kate is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR Task Force “ADR and Arbitration” and is qualified as a mediator in Italy. Kate also has broad experience with transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, representing both Italian companies and foreign investors in Italy, and a general corporate background gained at prior experience working at US law firms in Boston and Milan. In 2012-2013, Kate was on secondment in the legal department of GE Oil & Gas in Florence, assisting with contract drafting and negotiation, legal training for the sales team and drafting internal legal guides.
