Marco Argentini

Marco Argentini is a PhD Candidate in International Law at the University of Bologna. His research focuses mainly on conflict of jurisdiction and the application of State immunity to sovereign wealth funds. He graduated in Law from the University of Pisa in 2015 and he holds a Diploma of advanced studies in Law from the Sant’Anna School in Pisa. He followed the courses of the Hague Academy of International Law and he took part in exchange programs with the University of London’s Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and the École normale supérieure in Paris. He started his legal career as trainee lawyer with Shearman & Sterling where he worked in the M&A department, and he also had professional experience with a number of UN entities (in New York, Geneva and Beirut). He is a qualified lawyer, admitted to the Italian bar, member of the Law Society of Bologna.
