Georgia Magno

Georgia Magno has worked for Baker Hughes (initially General Electric Oil & Gas) since 2010. She is currently General Counsel for the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business division. She is also the Legal Affairs director on the Board of Directors of several Baker Hughes entities and the Vice Chairwoman of Nuovo Pignone Holding spa, the holding company of the Nuovo Pignone Group. In her current role, Georgia has responsibility for all legal and compliance matters of the TPS business. The business operates in more than 100 countries and has more than 10000 employees. Responsibilities include setting the legal and compliance agenda and strategy, building long-term relationships with customers, regulators, supply chain, and all other relevant stakeholders, ensuring good corporate governance, legal entity and JV management, as well as risk management. She also serves as the global Enterprise Leader for the Baker Hughes Women’s Network, promoting and empowering women’s leadership. Previously, Georgia was lead counsel for GE Oil & Gas Global Commercial operations, with responsibility for key transactions, as well as standard setting and global key accounts. And before that, she was lead counsel for GE Oil & Gas Global Supply Chain, responsible for the company’s global legal operations in the areas of procurement, facilities and logistics. Before joining GE and Baker Hughes, Georgia worked as a litigation attorney in New York and Rome, specializing in Securities and Corporate Governance as well as general international litigation and arbitration, and providing advice in connection with derivative and class actions, multi-billion dollar bankruptcy litigations, as well as merger-related disputes.
